Describe your work in three words
bling-bling, dreamy, neutral

Who is your subject and why did you choose her?
Sara Shiratori. Sara chose me to take her pictures, she contacted me via my website and also DM-ed me on Instagram. She liked my work and style, so I was more than happy to collaborate with her.

What was the concept behind this shoot?
Flowers inspired me. I imagined how the pictures would look like when I saw those flowers. I prepared some clothes that would fit the colour of the flowers as a primary theme and left the rest of it to nature.

Do you prefer shooting women?
When I take pictures, gender doesn’t bother me too much. They are one. My desire is to find and capture the beauty in them.

Whose work are you inspired by?
Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet and Henri Matisse.

Did anything (any accidents or surprises) happen while you were shooting this series?
I ended up shooting at the same place twice on two separate days (which I normally wouldn’t.) The first day was pretty rainy and cold, so we took some photos but then we decided to schedule another one the week after. To be honest, though, I actually quite like the ones I took in the rain!

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?

I’m not too good at expressing myself verbally, but I hope when people look at my pictures, they feel something.
